Atom-splitting mommies

I picked up this book via Vintage Childrens Books My Kid Loves’ Etsy Shop. I was attracted by the content as well as the lovely line drawings. Little did I know how awesome this book is. Written in 1961 by Eve Merriam, a poet and feminist and illustrated by Beni Montresor, a prominent illustrator and theatre set designer it features Mamas who build bridges and split atoms!

I loved the science mommies and had to stitch it up for the kidlets. It’s still not mounted – I’ll have to figure out how to do that eventually.
